Uluwatu Temple Sunset and Kecak Fire Dance

Uluwatu Temple and Kecak Fice Dance Tour. Take in Bali’s best sunset spot at Uluwatu Temple, a Balinese temple to the sea gods dating from the 10th century, with a commanding view of the Indian ocean high on a cliff top. Also called Pura Luhur Uluwatu, the temple is part of a series of temples built to protect the island from evil spirits and it was also where renowned Shaivite figure Dang Hyang Dwijendra had his final place of worship. After exploring the temple and watching the sunset, experience one of Bali’s most famous cultural performances, the Kecak Fire Dance. Watch the Balinese act out a scene from the Ramayana with a mesmerizing trance chant, punctuated by exciting fire dances by performers in intricate costumes. After visiting Luhur Uluwatu, travelers can also visit Uluwatu beach or Padang Padang beach. Overall, this guarantees an unforgettable evening of Balinese culture that the whole family can enjoy.

Padang-padang Beach
Padang Padang Beach is one of Bali’s most famous surf spots. Locally known as Pantai Labuan Sait, this beach on the north-western coast of the island’s Bukit Peninsula has an exotic setting – a stunning 100 meter-long stretch of sand that’s accessible down a flight of stairs and through a unique hollow rock entrance. The surf has a steady set of barrels during good weather, attracting wave riders from around the world.
Uluwatu Temple
Uluwatu Temple, or Pura Luhur Uluwatu, is renowned for its magnificent location, perched on top of a steep cliff approximately 70 meters above the waves. As one of the 6 key temples considered to be Bali’s ‘spiritual pillars’, Uluwatu also shares the splendid sunset backdrops as that of Tanah Lot Temple, another important sea temple that graces the island’s western coast.
Kecak Dance Performance
Kecak is a Balinese Hindu Dance taken from the Ramayana puppet story. This dance and musical drama was developed in the 1930s in Bali, Indonesia. This dance performed in the form of a circle with a total 50 – 100 people wearing black and white colour of Sarong around their waist, while the upper body is left naked. In the center of the circle is a traditional Balinese coconut oil lamp.
